Judicial Investitures

The Hon. Vanessa Velasquez was sworn in as judge of the 183rd District Court on December 2, 2005 by the Hon. David Medina of the Supreme Court of Texas, as her brother, Bernie Amado, holds the Bible.

The Hon. Judy Warne was sworn in as judge of the 257th District Court on December 13, 2005 by her husband, the Hon. Doug Warne, judge of the 311th District Court.

Thompson Portrait Unveiling

A portrait of the Hon. Margie Thompson, retired clerk of the First Court of Appeals, was unveiled in a special ceremony on January 10, 2006. Her daughters, Brandi Brown and Toni Walton, helped unveil the portrait.

First Court Clerk Investiture

The Honorable M. Karinne McCullough was sworn in October 11, 2005 as the clerk of the First Court of Appeals. The Hon. Sherry Radack, chief justice of the First Court of Appeals, administered the oath. McCullough’s husband, William McCullough, held the Bible.
