Renfroe to lead Houston Bar Foundation in 2006
Awards recognize pro bono service, volunteerism, legal writing


Tracie Renfroe, a partner in the law firm of King & Spalding LLP, became the 2006 chair of the Houston Bar Foundation on January 19th at the Foun-dation’s Annual Meeting and Luncheon at The Houston Club. She succeeded Bill Kroger, a partner in the law firm of Baker Botts L.L.P. The keynote speaker was the Hon. Harriet O’Neill, justice of the Supreme Court of Texas.
Other new officers of the Foundation are Angelia Birch Cox of The Coca-Cola Company, vice chair, and Karl S. Stern of Vinson & Elkins L.L.P., treasurer. Kroger will serve on the board as immediate past chair.
New directors for 2006-2008 are Sonya Hill Bishop of ConocoPhillips Company; Charles R. Parker of Locke Liddell & Sapp LLP; and Debra Baker of Connelly•Baker•Maston•Wotring•Jackson LLP. Catherine Lamboley of Shell Oil Company is serving a term as director in 2004-2006. Completing terms as directors for 2005-2007 are Martin D. Beirne of Beirne, Maynard & Parsons L.L.P.; and Gwen E. Richard of the Law Office of Gwen
E. Richard.
The Foundation also recognized law firms, corporations and individuals for outstanding pro bono services, volun-teerism and legal writing.
