54th Fall Harvest Party Raises Record Underwriting
for Houston Bar Foundation

The Houston Bar Association’s 54th Harvest Party broke last year’s record by raising over $280,000 in underwriting to benefit the Houston Bar Foundation, the charitable arm of the association. The Foundation supports programs such as the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, a provider of pro bono legal services to low-income Houstonians.
The gala event was held November 17th at River Oaks Country Club. Kent W. (Rocky) Robinson of Andrews Kurth LLP served as chair of the Harvest Party, which was co-sponsored by the Houston Bar Association Auxiliary.
The Houston Bar Foundation is in its 22nd year of service to the community and the legal profession. The Foundation’s primary beneficiary is the Houston Volunteer Lawyers Program, which last year provided over 24,000 hours of pro bono legal services to Houstonians who cannot afford legal representation. The Foundation also funds the Juvenile Justice Mock Trial Program, now in its 29th year of teaching young teens about the legal system.
