Travis J. Sales of Baker Botts LLP took up the gavel as the 2008-2009 president of the Houston Bar Association at the organization’s Annual Dinner Meeting, held May 15 at River Oaks Country Club. Sales succeeded Tommy Proctor of W. Thomas Proctor, P.C.

The gala evening was dedicated to the accomplishments of the HBA and its members during the past year. Proctor presented the President’s Awards to outstanding committee and program chairs for 2007-2008, and the HBA honored its emeritus members who reached their 50th year of practice during the last bar year.
