Kamin Takes Helm
of Houston Bar Foundation
Awards recognize pro bono service, volunteerism, legal writing
Lynn Kamin, a partner in the law firm of Short & Jenkins L.L.P., succeeded Frank G. Jones of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. as chair of the Houston Bar Foundation on January 8 at the Foundation’s Annual Meeting and Luncheon at The Houston Club. The keynote speaker was the Hon. Wallace Jefferson of the Supreme Court of Texas.
Other new officers of the Houston Bar Foundation (HBF) are Charles C. Foster of Tindall & Foster, P.C., vice chair; and David Runnels of Andrews Kurth L.L.P., treasurer.
New directors for 2004-2006 are Angela Birch Cox of The Minute Maid Company; Catherine A. Lamboley of Shell Oil Company; and Tracie J. Renfroe of Bracewell & Patterson L.L.P. Completing terms as directors for 2002-2004 are Bill Kroger of Baker Botts L.L.P.; Lisa H. Pennington of Baker & Hostetler LLP; and Neil Wilcox of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
The Foundation also recognized law firms and individuals for outstanding pro bono services, volunteerism and legal writing.
