A PROFILE IN PROFESSIONALISM

Professionalism is a multifaceted concept.

In its simplest form, professionalism is the respect we show for the judicial system when we dress with dignity in court.

Daniel David Hu
Assistant United States Attorney

Professionalism means our word is our bond and we are honest in all our endeavors.

Professionalism means we seek a fair, just result for our client.

Professionalism is the obligation we have to provide legal services to those who cannot afford counsel. When we donate our time to HVLP, money to Legal Aid, or reach out in our community, we fulfill a duty to provide for those less fortunate. We are blessed with special talents and it is our obligation to use those talents to facilitate access to justice.

Broadly, professionalism means lawyers should set an example, not only in our practice, but in everything we do. We set an example by leadership, by being civil and by giving back to our community and our family.

Finally, professionalism is the pride we feel when the work we do makes a difference.
